David Cook is a fine artist from La Verne, California. He has been creating art since a young child. Growing up David loved horror movies, metal music and taking art classes. You would think he knew what his calling in life was but it wasn't until a few years ago while visiting an art gallery in Pomona, CA, that Art came back into his life. Since then he has been showing his work in galleries in California, Texas and New York. He creates many different characters that express love and sadness. Desire has also been a main theme. Many people find love to be the idea of hugs and kisses, but David captures a deeper darker (flipflop) love that we all know. There are two kinds of love out there, the Romeo and Juliet type and lets not forget Bonnie and Clyde. When looking at a piece of his art work you feel the need to reach out to his characters with a helping hand. His work inspires you to express the ideas that are inside your head, as twisted and deranged as they might be. His beautiful dark characters come to him at night when going to bed with a sketch pad close to his pillow.
